What is a Yung Thang

hey you,
i love you.

I hope you love you too.
and if you don't -that's ok.
i'll still love you.

I'm not perfect,
but i am too.
that's the beauty of it.
we can be both or none of it.
i'll still love you, and i hope you love you too.

I made this space because i felt like sharing.
something deep within me that was hard to explain.
there's just so much noise, you know? 

I want to get real with it, 
get down and dirty.
get hot with the Earth.
unite with the inner core
the core core.
the hard core.

except it's not hardcore, is it?
it's soft.
and it's really fucking hot. 
like hot hot.
like magma hot.

it's so hot the hard rock has melted.
and that's pretty much what I mean.

you're not all that
all that stuff, all those thangs.
whatever stuff and thangs you carry
like who you're meant to be, or who people think you are. Or who loves you, or don't, or does, or who you love, or don't, or did.
like what you were, or how far you've come, or how much space you take up, or how many numbers you accumulate, or what you've done, or what you haven't.
all that noise and thangs.
all the cars and bars and bras and bongs.
the measures and mirrors and myths of worth—
all that noise and thangs.

you're not all that.
you're molten.
you're fire.

you're the destroyer and creator,
hot and breathing
liquid fire that moves like water.

that's you
all in there.
sacral
Sacred.

you don't just live and die.
after life is more life.
you return to the Mother that birthed you—
Earth.
to the heat
to the core. 

you are the Earth.
you are a cosmic body, on a cosmic body
in infinite cosmic space.

you're not alone.
you're with all the other stars.
a bursting fusion of light and heat,
in the dark.

what is a Yung Thang?
You're a yung thang.

a Yung Thang never ages
it burns eternal.
a spirit of light and dark,
full of heart.
